• "When love expresses through you it first expresses as the body. It becomes sex. If it expresses through the mind, which is higher, deeper, subtler, then it is called love. If it expresses through the spirit, it becomes prayer....

"People who are afraid of love are not afraid of sex. Love is dangerous; sex is not dangerous, it can be manipulated. There are now many manuals on how to do it. You can manipulate it – sex can become a technique. Love can never become a technique. If in sex you try to remain in control, then even sex will not help to reach the ultimate. It will go to a certain point and you will drop back, because somewhere it also needs a let-go.

"That's why orgasm is becoming more and more difficult. Ejaculation is not orgasm, to give birth to children is not orgasmic. Orgasm is the involvement of the total body: mind, body, soul, all together. You vibrate, your whole being vibrates, from the toes to the head. You are no longer in control; existence has taken possession of you and you don't know who you are. It is like a madness, it is like a sleep, it is like meditation, it is like death."

• We Are Afraid of Sex

"Unless humanity becomes non-suppressive toward sex, man cannot breathe really. If the breath goes deep down to the abdomen, it gives energy to the sex center. It touches the sex center; it massages the sex center from within. The sex center becomes more active, more alive. Civilization is afraid of sex. We do not allow our children to touch their sex centers, their sex organs. We say, "Stop! Don't touch!"

"Look at a child when he first touches his sex center, and then say "Stop!" and then observe his breathing. When you say "Stop! Don't touch your sex center!" the breath will become shallow immediately – because it is not only his hand which is touching the sex center, deep down the breath is touching it. And if the breath goes on touching it, it is difficult to stop the hand. If the hand stops, then basically it is necessary, required, that the breath should not touch, should not go deep. It must remain shallow.

"We are afraid of sex. The lower part of the body is not only lower physically, it has become lower as a value. It is condemned as "lower." So do not go deep, just remain shallow. It is unfortunate that we can only breathe downwards. If some preachers were allowed, they would change the whole mechanism. They would only allow you to breathe upward into the head. Then you would absolutely not feel sex.

"If we are to create a sexless humanity, then we will have to change the breathing system. The breath must go into the head, to the sahasrar – the seventh center in the head – then come back to the mouth. This should be the passage: from the mouth to the sahasrar. It must not go deep down because down is dangerous. The deeper you go, the nearer you reach to the deeper layers of biology. You reach to the center, and that center is just near the sex center – just near. It has to be, because sex is life."

• Create Meditation Out of Sex

"The more you go into meditation through sex, the less effect sex will have. Meditation will grow from it, and out of the growing meditation a new door will open and sex will wither away. It will not be a sublimation. It will be just like dry leaves falling from a tree. The tree never even knows the leaves are falling. In the same way, you will never even know that the mechanical urge for sex is going.

"Create meditation out of sex; make sex an object of meditation. Treat it as a temple and you will transcend it and be transformed. Then sex will not be there, but there will not be any suppression, any sublimation. Sex will just become irrelevant, meaningless. You have grown beyond it. It makes no sense to you now.

"It is just like a child growing up. Now toys are meaningless. He has not sublimated anything; he has not suppressed anything. He has just grown up; he has become mature. Toys are meaningless now. They are childish and now the child is no longer a child.

"In the same way, the more you meditate, the less sex will have an appeal to you. And by and by, spontaneously, without a conscious effort to sublimate sex, energy will have a new source to flow to. • You are obsessed with sex because you don’t know any other sort of celebration. So the problem is not sex really; the problem is that you don’t know any other celebration. Nature allows you only one joy, and that is of sex. Nature allows you only one enjoyment, that is of sex. Nature allows you only one thrill, and that is of sex.
• In the sexual act you have a certain thrill, a moment of forgetfulness, a moment of oblivion. You feel good — for a few seconds, only for a few seconds, you drop out of this routine world. Sex gives you a door to escape into some other world — which is non-tense; there is no worry; you are simply relaxed and melting. But have you observed? After each sexual act you feel frustrated.
• Sex creates neurosis, it is neurotic, because it can never satisfy you. Now, go to the madhouses of the world and just watch the mad people, and you will always find that somewhere or other there is a sexual problem. That’s what Freud says, that ALL pathology is somehow connected with sex. Too much sex obsession becomes neurotic. If you live in the body, you are bound to become neurotic. • Real awareness always leads you beyond sex, and celibacy happens on its own accord. Because to be in sex you have either to be identified with the male or identified with the female. A real celibate is one who has gone beyond, who is neither.
• Repression can never bring freedom. Repression makes you a slave. Repress anything, and that will become your master. So the so-called celibates in the monasteries — the BRAHMACHARIS — they are continuously obsessed with sex. Their whole obsession is sex, their mind is completely sexual — it has to be so. Or, if you are mad, and you are REALLY against the body and you start destroying the body, the only thing that you can succeed in will be that you will become a eunuch.
• Love goes beyond polarity, sex remains below polarity. Sex needs the opposite, love does not need the opposite. Hence, in sex there is always a subtle conflict, because with the opposite the harmony can never be total. For moments maybe… again the conflict comes in.
• Love is unconditional, sex is conditional. In sex there is a give and take. In love, you simply pour. You don’t ask, there is no demand. Not that you don’t get — you get a thousandfold — but that is not asked for. That simply comes on its own accord: the whole existence showers back, echoes back.
• Now, one thing to be remembered always: if you are not very alert you may go on believing that you are moving into tantra, and you may be simply rationalizing your sexuality — it may be nothing but sex, rationalized in the terminology of tantra. If you move into sex with awareness, it can turn into tantra. If you move into tantra with unawareness, it can fall and become ordinary sex. It has happened in India — because only India has tried it.
• Sex energy is just at the source of the spine. If a child is taught from the very beginning to be against sex…. Sex is sin, and sex has to be destroyed, or at least controlled — never allowed to go too far, never allowed to be spontaneous; has to be put under many controls, laws, regulations. These laws, regulations, suppressions, they become the buffer: the kundabuffer is created. Then sex energy remains repressed at the source of the spine and does not rise in the spine. That’s what they say in the East: Once the sex energy rises in the spine, you start becoming very very happy. When the sex energy reaches to the seventh — SAHASRAR — you flower into a lotus bloom. Your life then is a deep ecstasy.
• Awareness is the true path. Neither indulge nor renounce, but be aware. Do whatsoever you are doing — do it with full awareness. If you move into passion, move with awareness; and passion becomes prayer, and passion has a totally different quality to it. In the East we have called that quality tantra. The same sex is no longer sex — it is no longer sexual at all. Once you move into your passion with awareness, you have changed the very quality of it. It is no longer just physical, it is no longer just a physical release; it is a very deep experience of life. It is a tremendous experience of no-mind. It is a door towards the greatest space possible.
• In deep orgasm, if you are aware, you will know for the first time what ecstasy is. Otherwise you have only heard the word; you have not known its meaning. Only in deep orgasm, if you are aware, if your flame of awareness is burning bright, will you be able to know that sex is not just sex. Sex is the outermost layer; deep inside is love; and even deeper is prayer; and deepest is God himself. Sex can become a cosmic experience; then it is tantra. Sex plus awareness… and something tremendous starts changing.
• When sex becomes an obsession, it takes perverted forms
• What happens with your sex energy depends on how you use it. What it can become does not depend on it alone, but on your understanding and on how you live your life. Have you not observed that it becomes brahmacharya, the state of celibacy when it is transformed? bramhacharya is not hostile to passion; brahmacharya is the purification, the transcendence, the sublimation of passion. In the same way, the energy that manifests itself in violence becomes peace, serenity and tranquility. It is only a question of transformation.
• Love is not sexual passion. Those who mistake sex for love remain empty of love. Sex is only a passing manifestation of love. It is part of nature’s mechanism, a method of procreation. Love exists on a higher plane, and as love grows, sex dissipates. The energy that has been manifested in sex is transformed into love.
• Love is the creative refinement of sex energy. And so, when love reaches perfection, the absence of sex automatically follows. A life of love, an abstinence from physical pleasures is called brahmacharya, and anyone who wishes to be free from sex must develop his capacity to love. Freedom from sex cannot be achieved through supersession. Liberation from sex is only possible through love.
• The first thing: be a witness of sex too. Don’t be the controller of it. Don’t try to forcibly bring it under control, remain a witness of it too. Just as you are a witness of everything else, remain a witness of sex too. It is difficult, because you have been taught for centuries that sex is sin. That concept of sin has been fixed in your mind.
• Both are easy: it is perfectly easy to go unconscious in sex, to completely forget what is going on, to get intoxicated is easy. To control sex, to force it to stop, to prevent yourself is also easy. But in both you miss. The one who indulges misses, the celibate misses too. The real brahmacharya happens when you stand in the middle between these two, then you are only watching. Then you will find that sex arises in the body and reverberates in the body; in the mind a shadow briefly falls and departs. You remain standing far away. How can sexual desire be in you? How can any desire be in you? You are nothing but the observer.
• See life from a positive viewpoint. If you start being happy then the things that you grabbed onto because of your misery will drop by themselves. If meditation comes then wine will drop. If meditation comes, then meat-eating will drop. If meditation comes then slowly slowly sex energy begins to be transformed into brahmacharya. Just let meditation come.
• Just by condemning nothing is destroyed. If you say sex is bad, you condemn it, but you cannot destroy it. Just by condemning it, it is not destroyed. Rather, it may become a more dangerous force, because when repressed, it may struggle to be expressed. And if you go on struggling with it, not allowing it, it will become perverted. Repression will make you more sexual, and the sex energy will struggle and will try to come out in any way, in any form.
• All the perversions, all over the world – homosexuality or sado-masochist perversions are basically byproducts of so-called religions, particularly christianity: because the more they repress, the more the energy has to find paths of its own. Natural sex is beautiful; perverted sex is just ugliness. Natural sex can be made hallowed and holy, but perverted sex cannot be made holy because it is twice removed from the original source.
• Sex is there: do not condemn it. Accept it. Do not create a division in your being, between parts of your being. Anger is there: accept it. Greed is there, or whatsoever: accept it. I do not mean be greedy. Rather on the contrary, the moment you accept you go beyond, because acceptance creates a unity, and when you are united within you have the energy to go beyond.
• You are born of sex. Your every body cell is a sex cell, all your energy is sex energy. So if religions teach that sex is bad, sex is sin, they have condemned you completely. And not only have they condemned you, now you will condemn yourself. Now you cannot go beyond it and you cannot leave it, and now it is a sin. You are divided; you start fighting with yourself. And the more this guilt can be created in you – over the concept that sex is something unholy – the more neurotic you will become.
• I take sex as the basic problem. And if your sex problem is solved, you are a different man or a different woman, because then all the perversions simply are no more. You have resolved the base. And when sex is solved and it is not a problem for you, not a fight, when you have deeply accepted it and said a deep yes to it, then you can transform it – because that is the energy which is alive in you. When you are dead, that energy will go on and on, more and more. You are just a wave in a sex ocean: the ocean continues, and the waves go on, die and disappear. The ocean continues. Sex is the BRAHMAN. If you go deep into sex, then it is the very life. If you forget it, then you remain on the surface. Then it is ugly. If you do not fight with it or sink into it, but drop into it, dissolve into it, melt into it, when you allow sex to become life, then suddenly it is transformed into love. That is how the mechanism automatically works. If you fight it, sex becomes hate. So those who are filled with hatred are those who are fighting with their sex.
• If you do not fight it, if you accept it and melt into it, it becomes love. So love and hate are two faces of sex. If it is perverted, it becomes hate. If accepted deeply, it will become love. And you can create love out of your sex energies. If those energies transform into love, then you are at ease in the world, at home with the earth. That at-homeness is basic.
• This is the beauty: if you accept sex, you will not reject anything else. That is why there is so much emphasis on it. If you reject sex, you will have to reject many things. Sex is the root rejection. If you reject sex, you will reject many things. Food will be rejected, then clothes will be rejected, then everything will be rejected. It is a long sequence, and in that sequence you will have to reject and reject, because the whole life is sexual. If you reject sex you will go on and on rejecting, and ultimately you will reject life. Then suicide is the only thing worth doing because even to take a breath is sexual. It goes to your sex cells and gives them life. To be alive is to be sexual. If you are against sex, then you will be against everything. And a person who is against everything is bound to be neurotic, mad, and you cannot help him.
• When you are with a woman, if you are of the opposite sex, you begin to feel more alive than with a man. With a man you feel less alive because nothing is pulling you out. You are enclosed, the opposite energy pulls you out; the flame flickers, you can be more alive. And whenever you begin to feel more alive, you begin to feel happy.
• The mechanism of sex is so much a momentary phenomenon that it only functions momentarily; if you do not cooperate at the right moment, it stops. At the right moment your cooperation is needed, otherwise it cannot work. It is only a momentary mechanism, and if you do not cooperate with it, it will stop by itself.
• First the energy will try its best to be released sexually, because that is its usual outlet, its usual center. So one must first be aware of one’s downward “doors.” Only awareness will close them; only noncooperation will close them. Sex is not so forceful as we feel it to be. It is forceful only momentarily: it is not a twenty-four-hour affair, it is a momentary challenge.
• One more point, thinking about sex is harmful than sex itself. Sex can be easy and natural but thinking about it too often is unnatural, is a perversion. After examining the experience of thousands of people, the psychoanalysts tell us that man is taking too much interest in mental sex and he does not derive any pleasure from the actual sex activity. The sex that is going on in the mind seems more interesting and colourful. If sex is thus perverted in the mind, confusion will be created within us. To think about sex is not the function of the mind. The intelligence of the person who uses his mind to do the work of sex centre becomes depraved — is spoilt. Gurdjieff used to say so. The intelligence is bound to get spoilt, because the functions of these two are different. It is like this: If a person tries to take food with his ear, his ear will certainly be spoilt, and food will not reach the stomach. Both will be harassed.

Women’s Sexual Fulfilment By Shri Rajanish Osho

Mahasatvaa Ma Ananda Sarita explains how women can find sexual and spiritual fulfillment.

The sexual fulfilment of women is vital for harmony in love relationships, in the family and for the well being of society as a whole. I can even go so far as to say the future of our planetary well being depends on it. It is one of my favourite topics, and I have dedicated 37 years of personal and professional research to its study.

There are five factors which are important to understand when discussing women’s sexual fulfilment.

1) Sexual anatomy
2) Cycles
3) Sensorial orientation
4) Chakra orientation
5) Spiritual potency

I have written a book called “Divine Sexuality” which goes into great detail on the subject of both women’s and men’s sexuality. This article highlights some of the key points that are essential for women. I refer to the vagina as the ‘yoni’ – the Tantric word for the female genitals, meaning ‘sacred place’ – and the penis as ‘lingam,’ meaning ‘wand of light’.

Sexual anatomy

Did you know that:

· The clitoris has 3000—5000 nerve endings, all devoted to pleasure, connected to pleasure centres all over her body.

· The hood of the clitoris is attached to the clitoral bulbs, which reside inside the body and become engorged and erect when the woman is sexually excited. The hood is also connected to the vaginal lips, both inner and outer which also become engorged and erect during excitation.

· Orgasmic contractions happen inside the yoni, but the intensity can vary, depending on the degree of excitation and arousal in the whole body, thus giving rise to the terms: ‘whole body orgasm,’ vs ‘localized clitoral orgasm.’

· In general, women require a minimum of 20 minutes of sensual and sexually stimulating ‘warm up’ to reach a threshold from where sexual orgasm becomes possible.

· After sexual orgasm, in general, a woman remains on the plateau, ready for more orgasms, for at least 20 minutes.

· Women are capable of experiencing multiple orgasms, (one orgasm feeding into the next in an unbroken river of ecstasy,) as well as chain orgasms, (one orgasm following the next with short gaps in between.)

· The yoni of a woman is not very sensitive unless she is highly aroused. This is because it is the birth canal, and if it was as sensitive as the clitoris and clitoral bulbs, it would be excruciating to give birth.

· When the woman is highly aroused, the yoni lengthens and expands, giving rise to a craving to be penetrated by her lover.

· The yoni, being versatile, forms herself to fit the size of the lingam which is penetrating her (within reason according to anatomical proportions of both partners.)

· The way a woman desires to be stimulated sexually, or to stimulate herself, stems from how she has learned to experience sexual pleasure. In most cases, her sexual empowerment is dependent on how she has trained herself to respond sexually during masturbation.

· A woman is capable of multiple orgasms into her 90’s and beyond.

I have worked with countless women in groups and individual sessions and have found that in general, women carry a great deal of misconception around the subject of orgasm. Because of this, women tend to walk around with shame and secret suffering which they may even hide from their lovers. One example of this is that 50% of women fake orgasm.

For this sorry state of affairs, there are multiple factors to blame. One important factor is that Freud made an erroneous statement, which had no basis in scientific fact. He observed that there are two types of women, the ‘infantile’ and the ‘mature.’ He stated that the ‘infantile woman’ needs clitoral stimulation in order to orgasm, while the ‘mature woman’ orgasms from penetration alone. Even today, this erroneous statement haunts the lives of millions of women with unnecessary suffering.

Masters and Johnson scientifically tested this statement in a clinical study. Electrodes were attached to women who said they reached orgasm from penetration alone, and their sexual response was carefully monitored as they were engaged in sexual intercourse. It was found in each case that the women were actively stimulating their clitoris, through the friction of the lingam rubbing on the clitoris, or by the clitoral hood stimulating the clitoris with the friction of intercourse.

It was later verified in the groundbreaking research of Masters and Johnson that the three elements – clitoral arousal, sacral nerve, and vaginal contractions – are necessary for female orgasm to take place.

Another factor which has had a great deal of influence is that a large majority of women in Western society did not even know they were capable of orgasm until the 1900s. It was thought that marriageable women did not enjoy sex, but simply put up with it as a chore in order to please their husbands or to get children. People believed that only fallen women, or prostitutes, had pleasure in sex. Therefore, many women carry the ancestral belief that they have no right to pleasure and are meant to have sex to please their partner, never daring to ask for what they want and need. The healing for this is for women to practice self-pleasuring, (masturbation) and discover what you like and how you like it sexually and then to communicate this to your partner. If you do not know and love your own body and way to pleasure, your partner will not know either.

Because women have not been aware of their own capacity for pleasure, when the women’s movement began, the direction many women took was to deny their feminine nature, to copy men and compete to ‘do it better.’ Sexually this has been disastrous. Women’s sexual response is diametrically opposite to men’s. This is why we are complementary. Just imagine the positive poles of two magnets trying to meet. They cannot. They oppose each other energetically. However, if you have a receptive pole and a positive pole of the magnets coming together, they glue together with great eagerness. Opposites attract.

Another very important factor is education and the lack of it. Because of the destructive idea propounded by some spiritual traditions, that spiritual fulfilment is only possible if one denies sex, there is a great lack of any kind of intelligent sexual education. And because our species’ survival depends on sex, of course our bodies make it a priority.

In our present so called sexually free society, there is still a great lack of sex education, and yet the internet and other media are full of pornography. I have nothing against sexually explicit media, if it remains true to men and women’s real experience and potential. Pornography, however, is for the most part simply idiotic and gives false impressions to people as to what is ‘expected’ during sex. It tends to psychologically and emotionally damage the impressionable young who are trying to learn about this most vital subject.

An exquisitely beautiful young woman came to my Tantra course. She admitted in private that she was a high-class prostitute, in great demand, but inside she felt nothing but disgust and had never known orgasm (though she was good at faking it.) I asked her about her formative years and how she found out about sex. At age nine she was introduced to pornography. The first film she saw was one in which humans were having sex with animals. She was so horrified that she went into complete shock and shutdown, and this psychological and emotional trauma, became a catalyst towards her profession as an unhappy prostitute. Luckily this story has a happy ending. I was able to offer healing to her, and subsequently, she found a Beloved and discovered the joy of orgasm.

In my groups, it gives me great joy to empower the feminine in women, helping women to become aware of their power and potential, not only in orgasm, but in many other areas of life.

Cycles

Women are keepers of the tides of life, of all life cycles. This is so because we are bound to the moon, and to the ever-present facts of birth and of death inherent in our womb. When we carry a child in the womb, the gestation of this child moves through each aspect of evolution. This means we are the keepers of the whole history of evolution, of all of life. When we are not carrying a child, and are in the cycles of menstruation, each month we go through creation and de-creation. As the lining of the womb moves out with the menstrual flow, our hormone levels drop and we go through a small death. When we begin awakening to the awesome power inherent in being woman, and we link this to our natural yearning to nurture and love, we will naturally be drawn to become the custodians of life in all its aspects. When a woman is not aware of her feminine power, inherent in her womb, she simultaneously is in denial of her full potential for ecstasy.

I have met many women who believe that if they go into their full orgasmic potential, it will frighten the men they are with. And so they hold back, not wanting to rock the boat. Our full orgasmic potential is intimately connected to how we are with our womb, with our life cycles and with our monthly menstrual cycle.

Deepest ecstasy in orgasm arises when the womb is energetically open and the woman is passionately in love with being the womb of all of life. To help support this, learn to breathe and to make sounds during sexual arousal. Learn to love your belly, and to love your menstruation. Keep a diary of your cycles and note down how you feel, sexually and emotionally, during the different phases of the moon cycle. If your man is afraid of your sexual ecstasy, he would benefit from going to a men’s group, a Shamanic group, or a Tantra group, where he can experience a rite of passage into full manhood.

Sensorial orientation

To be sexually fulfilled, as women, we need to honour the fact that, in general, we need to open up through the kinesthetic sense. We need touching, cuddling, emotional security and feelings of all kinds. Of course, women also have highly developed visual, auditory or olfactory senses, but for moving into sexual contact, we need to own and be comfortable with our potential for emotional fluidity.

During sexual play, when a woman’s womb centre opens, she will have a tendency to laugh or to cry. This is a signal that her yoni is now open and ready for penetration. It is common that the woman cries as she climaxes, and unfortunately this is often at the very end of the sexual act. For the sex to be more fulfilling, she needs to open up her emotional flow before penetration. Chakra orientation

The seven main chakras are a vast subject by themselves. She needs to nurture her capacity for unconditional love in the fourth chakra (heart centre), and she needs to open up and use her intuition, held at the sixth chakra (third eye centre). When we feel disempowered, we do not open to the partner, but rather protect ourselves. When you awaken the power and potential of your positive chakras, you will shine and feel ready to absorb the gifts given by the male principle.

Spiritual potency

As the woman is the womb for all of life, she is also the birth giver and the spiritual mother for this world. If she is weak, and unaware of her own ecstasy, she will give birth to a world based on a collapsed feminine, and an over aggressive masculine, as we see today. This situation can change very rapidly if women everywhere can open up to their own divinity and power.

It has happened at least twice in history, that two warring tribes came to almost instantaneous peace when the women of both tribes joined together and refused to have sex with their men until the war was stopped and a peace treaty was agreed. પુરાતન કાળથી લઇને આપણો દેશ હિંદુસ્તાન હમેંશાં શૃંગારને મહત્વ આપતો રહ્યો છે.તત્કાલિન સમયમાં પણ કામ અને શૃંગાર કાવ્યો પર કોઇ પણ જાતનો પ્રતિબંધ હતો નહી.આપણે હમેશાં આધુનિકતાનો દંભ લઇને ફર્યા કરીયે છીએ,પણ કોઇ જાતિય વિષય કે શૃંગારિક વર્ણનો આવે છે ત્યારે આપણે દંભી બની જઇએ છીએ પણ ખાનગીમાં મોટાભાગના લોકોનો આ રસનો વિષય રહ્યો છે

સમાજ કેટલો દંભી છે.બ્લ્યુ ફિલ્મોથી લઇને ઇન્ટરનેટ પોર્નને ખાનગીમાં હોંશે હોંશે જુએ છે,પણ જ્યારે જાહેરમાં ચર્ચાનો વિષય બને ત્યારે આપણે આપણો દંભનો મુખવટો પહેરી લઇએ છીએ.આપણા પૂર્વજો આવા વિષયો પ્રત્યે દંભી નહોતાં.એટલે તો કામશાસ્ત્ર,શૃંગાર-શતક અને મેઘદૂત જેવાં મહાકાવ્યો હિંદુસ્તાનમાં રચાયા છે.

ગુણવંતશાહ લખે છે,"સેકસ અંગે વાતો કરતી વખતે હું ગાંધીજીથી ઓછો નિખાલસ થવા ઇચ્છતો નથી.આ ચાલીસ મિનિટનાં વ્યકત્વ દરમિયાન તો હું નિખાલસ હોઇશ;પછીની ખાતરી ન આપી શકું.સેકસ અંગે થોડીક એકેડમિક વાતો કરતી વખતે કોઇ પરમ પવિત્ર બાબત વિષે બોલી રહ્યો હોંઉ એવો અનૂભવ હું અત્યારે કરી રહ્યો છું.માણસની પ્રકૃતિદત્ત ઝંખનાઓનો મધુર ગુંજારવ સેકસ થકી પ્રગટ થતો જણાય છે.મારી નમ્ર માન્યતા એવી છે કે સેકસને લલિતકલાનો દરજ્જો પ્રાપ્ત થવો જોઇએ.આવું બને તો બે અંતિમોથી બચવું પડે-અતિરેક અને અભાવ.

ગંદા અતિરેકનો રેલો છેક એઇડસ સુધી લંબાયો છે અને આર્દશમાં ખપેલા હઠીલા અભાવનો રણવિસ્તાર ગલત માન્યતાને કારણે "બ્રહ્મચર્ય" તરીકે ઓળખાય છે.

આવું વ્યકત્વ ગુણવંતશાહ જ આપી શકે.સવાલ આપણી સામે આવી ઉભો રહે છે.શું સેકસની વાતો કરવી એ અશ્લિલતા છે? તો જે દેશનાં ખજુરાહો જેવા પવિત્ર મંદિર જેવા સ્થાપત્યમાં કોતરાયેલા રતિશિલ્પોને અશ્લિલતા ગણવી કે આપણી શૃંગારીક સંસ્કૃતિની ધરોહર!?

રામાયણથી મહાભારત સુધીનાં ગ્રંથોમાં વિલાશપ્રચુર વર્ણનો જોવાં મળે છે.આપણા દેવી-દેવતાઓના જાતિયઆવેગોને વિલાશ વર્ણનો લખેલાં છે.શિવ અને પાર્વતીનાં વિલાશપ્રચુર વર્ણનો કુમારસંભવમાં જોવા મળે છે.

મારી પહેલી નોવેલ 'ઓહ!નયનતારા'ની પ્રસ્તાવનાં મેં લખ્યું હતું કે," એક લેખકે કહ્યુ છે કે “નગ્નતાં એ ઇશ્વરિય્ આશિર્વાદ છે”.મતલબ સાફ છે.દિગમ્બર પરુષે દુનિયા બદલી છે.દુનિયાને નવી રાહ દેખાડી છે.અર્ધ દિગમ્બર પુરુષે આઝાદી અપાવી છે.શા માટે દંભીં બનિયે..જિવનના સત્યો હમેશાં નગ્ન હોય છે.જેણે આપણે ઇશ્વરિય વરદાન સમજીને સ્વિકાર્ કરવો જોઇયે… એજ રીતે એક સ્ત્રી અને એક પુરુષના શરીરનું મિલન પણ નગ્ન્ સત્ય છે.તો શા માટે આપણે અશ્લિલતાં ગણવી જોઇયે.આ મિલનને પણ ઇશ્વરિય આશિર્વાદ સમજીને કલાની દષ્ટીએ સમજવાની જરુર છે. ગાંધીજી જેવા મહાન માણસોએ બ્રહ્મચર્યની પરિક્ષા માટે બે નગ્ન સ્ત્રીઓએ સાથે સુતા હતાં.
શા માટે એમ કહેવાય છે કે કામ પર વિજય મેળવનાર માણસ મહાન છે,જ્યારે પૌરણિક શાસ્ત્રોમાં એમ ઉલ્લેખ છે,કામ ઉપર વિજય મેળવનાર એક માત્ર કૃષ્ણ ભગવાન હતાં,છતાં કૃષ્ણ અને ગોપીઓનાં વિલાશ પ્રચુર વર્ણનો આપણા પૌરાણિક મહાકાવ્યોમાં જોવા મળે છે.

અહિં સ્વામી પ્રભુપાદે લખેલા "કૃષ્ણ-પૂર્ણપુરૂષોતમ" ગ્રંથનાં અમુક અવતરણૉ ટાકું છું-
- કૃષ્ણ કૃપાથી એ સ્ત્રી જ્યારે સર્વશ્રેષ્ઠ સુંદરી બની ગઇ ,ત્યારે પોતે સ્વાભાવિક રીતે કૃષ્ણની ઉપકાર્ વશ થઇ હોઇ તેમ લાગ્યું.વળી તે પ્રભુના સૌંદર્ય પ્રતિ આર્કષાય ગઇ.જરા પણ સંકોચ પામ્યાં વિના,તેણે પ્રભુનાં વસ્ત્રોનો પાલવ પકડ્યો અને તેં ખેંચવાં લાગી.તે કામાતૂર બની હતી,અને તેણૅ કબુલ કર્યુ,કે તે કામવાસનાથી ઇચ્છાથી ઉત્તેજિત બની ગઇ હતી.તે શેરીમાં હતી અને ન જીક માં કૃષણનાં મોટાભાઇ અને તેમનાં મિત્રો હતાં તે વાત ભુલી ગઇ હતી.

-રુકિમણી તેમનાં પતિ પૂર્ણ પુરૂષોતમની સેવા કરવાની તક પ્રાપ્ત કરવાં હમેંશાં કુબ આતુર રહેતાં હતાં,અને પોતે વ્યકિતગત એ રીતે સેવા કરવા ઇચ્છા ધરાવતાં હતાં.દાસીનાં હાથમાંથી ચામર લઇને પોતે સેવા ખૂદ સેવા કરતાં હતાં.આ ચામર હાથો સોનાનો હતો અને આ હાથા પર રત્નોને જડી સુશોભિત કરેલો હતો.રુકિમમણી જ્યારે પંખો નાંખતા ત્યારે એમનાં સૌંદર્યમાં અનેરી વૃધ્ધિ થતી હતી.તેમની બધી આંગળીઓમાં રત્નજડિત વીંટીઑ પહેરેલી હોવાથી એમની બધી આંગળીઓ સુંદર દેખાતી હતી.તેમનાં પગમાં પહેરેલા ઝાંઝર અને રત્નોનો,તેમની સાડીની ધડીઓમાંથી થઇને આવતો રણકાર ખૂબ મધુર સંભળાતો હતો.રુકિમણીનાં ભરાવદાર સ્તનયુગક કેસર અને કંકુંમ ચોપડેલા હતાં,આમ તેમનાં ઢંકાયેલા સ્તનોમાંથી નીસરતાં રકતરંગી પ્રતિબિંબથી તેમનાં સૌંદર્યમાં અધિક વૃધ્ધિ થતી હતી.તેમનાં નિંતબનો નીચલો ભરાવદાર ભાગ રત્નજડિત પટ્ટાથી સુશોભિત હતો.તેમનાં ગળે અંત્યત પ્રકાશથી ઝળહળતું લોકિટ લટકતું હતું.આ બધા ઉંપરાત,પોતાનાં પુત્રો પુખ્તવયનાં થયેલા હોવાં છતાં ,જ્યારે શ્રીકૃષ્ણ ભગવાનની સેવામાં જોડાંતાં,ત્યારે તેમનું શારીરિક સૌંદર્ય ત્રિભૂવનમાં અજોડ લાગતું હતું.જો આપણે એના સુંદર મુખનો વિચાર કરીએ,એમ લાગે કે તેમનાં મસ્તક પરનાં વાંકડિયા વાળ,કાનમાંથી લટકતા સુંદર કુંડળ,એમનાં મુખનું સ્મિત અને એમનો સુંવર્ણ અછોડો,સર્વે એકઠાં મળીને સુધાવર્ષણ કરી રહ્યાં હતાં,અને આ વસ્તું નિશ્ર્ચિત સાબિત થયેલી કે જે રુકિમણી નારાયણનાં ચરણકમળની સેવામાં જોડાયેલા તેઓ આદિ ભાગ્યલક્ષ્મી સિવાય બીજા કોઇ હતાં નહીં.

જ્યારે જ્યારે રુકિમણી અને શ્રીકૃષ્ણ વચ્ચે સવાંદોનું વર્ણન આવે છે ત્યારે રુકિમણી શ્રીકૃષ્ણને અનેક નામેથી સંબોધન કરતાં હતાં જેમ કે,મારા વ્હાલા પ્રભુ,મારા વ્હાલા સર્વશકિતમાં વસુદેવનંદન,મારા વ્હાલા કમલ નયન પ્રભુ વગેરે.

જ્યારે શ્રીકૃષ્ણ રુકિમણીને પણ અલગ અલગ નામથી સંબોધન કરે છે જેમ કે,મારી વ્હાલી સુંદર રાજકુમારી,મારી વ્હાલી રુકિમણી,મારી વ્હાલી રૂપસુંદર પત્ની વગેરે.

આપણે ગીતાનાં શ્ર્લોક પર એક નજર નાંખી જોઇએ,

प्रकृत्यैव य क्रियमाणानि सर्वश्,
यः प्रश्यति तथातमनमविर्तार स पश्यति.
(જે મનુષ્ય એમ જોઇ શકે છે કે સર્વ પ્રવૃતિ દેહ દ્વારા કરવામાં આવે છે અને દેહનું સર્જન ભૌતિક પ્રકૃતિ દ્વારા થયું છે,તેમજ એમ પણ જુએ છે કે આત્મા ક્શું કરતો નથી,તે જ ખરેખર સત્ય જુએ છે)

ઉપરના શ્ર્લોકમાં પણ દેહને આત્માં કરતાં વધું મહત્વ આપવામાં આવ્યું છે.કારણકે આત્માં તો કશું કરતો જ નથી.આત્માં તો અમર છે,કદી બળી શકતો નથી કે મરી શકતો નથી.

છતાં લોકો કહેછે "આપનું મિલન બહું આત્મિયસભર હતું",કારણકે પુરાણૉમાં એમ કહેવામાં આવ્યું છે કે શરીર એ આત્માંનું પ્રવેશદ્રાર છે.

પણ આ પ્રવેશદ્રાર પર બેઠેલા દ્રારપાલને પહેલા ખૂશ કરો તો જ આત્માંનું મિલન થઇ શકે મતલબ સાફ છે,બે શરીરોનું આત્મિયમિલન તો જ શકય બને જ્યારે શરીર નામનાં પ્રવેશદ્રાર પર બેઠેલા દ્રારપાલ ખૂશ હોવો જરૂરી છે.

શ્રીકૃષ્ણ અને દ્રોપદીની મૈત્રીની વાતો ઘણી સાંભળેલી છે.ખરેખર તો દ્રુપદ રાજાની પુત્રી યાજ્ઞસેની,કૃષ્ણા જેવા નામ ધરાવતી દ્રોપદી શ્રીકૃષ્ણને મનોમન ચાહતી હતી,જે સ્વયમવર પહેલાના અધ્યાયમાં લખેલું છે કે,શ્રીકૃષ્ણની સિધ્ધિઓ અને વિજયને કારણે સમગ્ર ભારતવર્ષની વિરતાઓ તેની સામે ઝાંખી પડી ગઇ હતી,દ્રોપદીએ સાંભળ્યું હતું કે શ્રીકૃષ્ણ યોગેશ્ર્વર છે,કામવિજેતા છે,તેં છતાં પણ તરૂણીઓને આંનદ આપવામાં સદાય તત્પર રહે છે.આ બધી વાતો દ્રોપદીએ મર્હષિ ગાર્ગેય અને વેદવ્યાસ પાસેથી સાંભળેલી હતી.

આપણા હિંદુસ્તાનમાં વંસતઋતુંને ઋતુઓનો રાજા ગણાવ્યો છે.વંસતઋતુંનું આગમન થતાં ફુલઝાડથી લઇને સમગ્ર પ્રકૃતિ અને માનવમનો પુલકિત થઇ જાય છે.આ ઋતુંની મહત્વતાં રાજસ્થાની ફાગુકાવ્યોથી લઇને વંસતવિલાસ સૂધીનાં ગ્રંથોમાં ગુણગાન ગાઇને દર્શાવી છે

વંસતકલિકાનાં અન્ય શ્ર્લોકો પર એક નજર નાંખીયે,ત્યારે સમજાશે કે ૧૨મી સદીની આસપાસ રચાયેલા સંસ્કૃત મહાકાવ્યોમાં કેવા વિલાસપ્રચુર વર્ણનો છે

गरुउ मदन महिपति दीपती सहण न जाइ |
करइ नवी कइ जुगती रे जगति प्रतापु माइ|१९|

(મહિપતિ મદન ગૌરવવંતો છે,એનો પ્રતાપ સહ્યો જતો નથી.તે કંઇક નવી નવી યુકતિઓ રચે છે જગતમાં એનો પ્રતાપ સમાતો નથી.

रंगि रमइं मनि हरसीय निज भरतारि|
दीसइं ते गयगमणीय नमणिय कुचरभरथारी|५१|

(પોતાના ભરથાર સાથે સુંદરી મનમાં હર્ષથી રંગ રમે છે.તે ગજગામિની પ્રપુષ્ટ સ્તનોનાં ભારથી ભારે સુંદર દેખાય છે.)

શૃંગાર વિષય પર લખવા બેસીયે તો મહાન કવિ કાલિદાસનું મેઘદૂત મહાકાવ્ય કેમ ભૂલાય!
ચોથી સદીની આસપાસ લખાયેલા મહાકાવ્યમાં કાલિદાસનું અદ્દિતિય વર્ણન છે.એક કવિ પોતાના લેખનીની ચરમસિમાં પર હોય એવું દેખાય આવે છે.એ તત્કાલિન સમયમાં પ્રજા અત્યારની જેમ ભણેલી પન નહોતી.છતાં એ સમયની પ્રજાએ આ મહાનકાવ્યને માણ્યું છે.

જ્યારે આપણા આધુનિક વિચારશરણી ધરાવતા લોકો હજું શૃંગારને કલા સાથે જોડાયેલું કોઇ તત્વ જોઇને આંખોનાં ભવાં ચડી જાય છે.

પ્રોષિતભતૃકા(જેનો પતિ વિદેશ ગયો છે એ સ્ત્રી)ની હાલત વર્ષાઋતુમાં વિરહની ચરમસિમા પર પહોચે છે.શૃગારરસના બે પ્રકાર છે.વિપ્રલંભ અને સંભોગ.વિપ્રલંભ એટલે પતિ અને પત્નીનો વિયોગ શૃંગાર.

મહાન કવિ કાલિદાસનું મેઘદૂતમ કાવ્ય આ બંને શૃંગારરસનું અદભૂત કાવ્ય છે.મેઘદૂતમમાં યક્ષની પત્નીના વિયોગનું સુંદર આલેખન છે.

“વિરહમાં તે જાગતી પડી હશે.મનોવ્યથાથી શરીર સુકાય ગયુ હશે.એક પડખે સૂવાથી ઉગમણી દિશામાં ઉગેલી બીજરેખા જેવી તે દેખાતી હશે.યક્ષની સાથે રતિક્રિડા કરવામાં જે એક રાત ક્ષણમાત્રમાં પસાર થઇ જતી,તે હવે ઉંના આંસુ સારવાથી લાંબી બનતી હશે?જાળિયામાંથી આવતા ચંદ્રના કિરણૉને તે જોતી હશે,પણ વિયોગના કારણે ચંદ્ર તરફ અણગમો થવાથી પોતાના નેત્રો નીચા ઢાળી દેતી હશે?કુંપળ શા હોઠને કાળા પાડી દેતાં ઉના નિસાસાથી છવાયેલા સાવ કોરા વાળને તે દૂર હટાવતી હશે?સ્વપનમાં પતિનો સમાગમ થાય તે આશાએ એ તે નિંદ્રા ઇચ્છતી હશે,પણ આંખોમાંથી વહેતી ધારા તેને નિંદ્રા કેમ આવવા દે….?''

આ પત્ની કે પ્રેમિકાના વિયોગની ચરમસિમા છે.યક્ષપત્નીનો પતિ રામગિરિના આશ્રમમા વસે છે.યક્ષ આકાશમા મંડાયેલા વાદળૉને જોઇને મેઘરાજાને પોતાની પત્નીને સંદેશો મોકલવા મેઘરાજાને આહવાન આપે છે-”હે આયુષ્યમન મિત્ર ! મારા ઉપર કરવાં માટે મારી સખીને તારે આમ કહેવાનું છે કે તમારો પ્રિય પતિ રામગિરિના આશ્રમમાં વસે છે.તારા વિયોગમાં એ મર્યો પણ નથી અને માંડ માંડ જીવે છે,અને તમારું ક્ષેમકુશળ ઇચ્છે છે.”

બધે સૌંદર્ય નિરખું છું,સરસતાં હો કે કુરૂપતા હો
કવિ છું હું જગે દષ્ટિ કળાની લઇને આવ્યો છું

એક કવિ જ્યારે શૃંગારીક વર્ણન કરે છે ત્યારે એ કૃતિ એક કવિતા નહીં પણ શબ્દો જાણે
અંલંકારોથી શણાગારેલી કોઇ સુંદર નાર મદમત્ત થઇને ગજગામિનીની જેમ ચાલતી હોય એવું લાગે છે.

કાલિદાસ અલકાપુરીનું વર્ણન આ રીતે કરે છે-
- સ્વર્ગના દેવો જેને વરવાની ઇચ્છા કરે તેવી મુગ્ધ અને મનોહર ક્ન્યાઓ આ નગરનું ગૌરવ છે.તેઓની કૌતૂકભરી ક્રિડાઓ તો જુઓ.!કિનારે ઉગેલા ઘેઘુર વૃક્ષોની છાયા તેઓને શીતલતા આપે છે.મંદાકીનીના જલ ઉપરથી ઠંડો મીઠો વાયુ વાય છે.ઝાડને છાયે સોનાની રેતીની ઢગલી કરી,તેમાં મોતી સંતાડી અને ગોતી કાઢવાની સરસ રમત રમે છે.અહીં યક્ષોના શયનગૃહમાં રત્નના દિપો ઝળહળૅ છે.રતિક્રિડા વખતે જ્યારે પ્રિયતમ પોતાની પ્રિયતમાનું વસ્ત્ર ખેંચે છે ત્યારે શરમની મારી તે મુગ્ધા દિવો બુઝાવવાની આશાએ ગુલાલની મુઠ્ઠી ભરી તેની સામે ફેંકે છે,પણ રત્નોનો દિવો કેમ ઠરે.?ઉલટાનૉ આખો ઓરડો લાલ-લાલ તેજથી લીપાઇ જાય છે.!કેવી વિલાશી છે આ પ્રજા..! કાલિદાસ અને ભતૃહરિ સ્ત્રી વિશે શું કહે છે.આ બંનેનાં અમર મહાકાવ્યો મેઘદૂત અને શૃંગાર-સતક શૃંગારકાવ્યોની ચરમસિમાં છે.

શરીરે પાતળી અને રૂપાળી છે.અણીયાણા દાંત છે.પાકેલા બિંબ જેવા હોઠ છે.પાતળી કેડ અને ત્રાસેલી હરણી જેવી નજર છે.નાભી ઉંડી છે.નિંતબના ભારે મંદ મંદ ચાલે છે.સ્તનોથી સહેજ નમેલી છે…વિધાતાએ ત્યાં જે યુવતીઓનું સર્જન કર્યુ છે તેમાં આ સ્ત્રી પ્રથમ છે. (મેઘદૂત..કાલિદાસ)

નેણની ચતૂરાઇથી આંખો બંધ કરી કરેલા કટાક્ષો,સ્નેહભર્યા વચનો,શરમાતા શરમાતા વેરેલા સ્મિતો,લીલાપુર્વક મંદ મંદ ચાલવું અને ઉભું રહેવું…આ બધા સ્ત્રીઓના આભુષણ પણ છે અને હથિયાર પણ છે..(શૃંગાર સતક..ભર્તુહરિ)

પ્રેમ અને જાતિયજિવનમાં માણસ જેવો હોય તેવો જ પ્રગટ થાય છે.ગમે તેવો તગડો,મજબુત પહેલવાન કે સ્પોર્ટમેન પ્રેમ કે સેક્સમાં બાળક જેવો બની જાય છે.માણસનું લખાણ કે તેની વાચા કે તેમના વિચારો બનાવટી હોય છે,પરંતુ સ્ત્રી કોઇ પુરુષ સાથે કે પુરુષ કોઇ સ્ત્રી સાથે શારીરિક સંપર્કમાં આવે ત્યારે તેનો દંભ ઓગળી જાય છે.માનવીના બીજા અંગો બનાવટ કરી શકે છે પણ તેના જાતિયઅંગો બનાવટ કરી શકતાં નથી.

(હે મેઘ ! તારા માર્ગમાં મોજા ઊછળવાના કલરવ કરતાં પક્ષીઑની હાર જેની કટિમેખલા બની છે તેવી,છટાથી ખળખળ વહેતી વમળરૂપી નાભિ બનાવતી નિર્વિન્ધ્યા નદીને મળીને તું અંતરથી રસ(જળ) ભરપૂર બનજે.ખરેખર પ્રિયતમ પ્રત્યે વિલાસ પ્રગટ કરવો તે જ સ્ત્રીઓનું પ્રથમ પ્રણયવચન છે.)

( જે ઉજ્જયિનીમાં સારસ પક્ષીઓના ગર્વિલા મધુર કુંજનને લંબાવતો,પ્રભાતના ખિલેલાં
કમળૉની સુવાસનો સંગ કરી સુંગધી બનેલા અને પ્રેમની માંગણીમાં કાલુ-કાલુ બોલવામાં કુશળ પ્રિયતમ જેવો શીપ્રાનો વાયુ રમણીઓના શરીરને અનુકુળ થઇને તેઓને રતિક્રિડાનો થાક દૂર કરે છે.)

હવે ભતૃહરિ રચિત શતકો ઉપર વાત કરીએ.ભતૃહરિએ કુલ ત્રણ શતકો રચ્યા છે એવી માન્યતાં છે.

નારી દેહની સુકોમળતા,મૃગીઓની પાછળ દોડતી કિલ્લોલ કરતી વનલલિતાઓ,અભિસારિકા સમી,સૌંદર્ય તેજે ઝળહળતી,પુષ્પ્માળાઓનો પમરાટ ફેલાવતી,રૂપની જ્યોતિને પ્રકાશપુંજ બનાવીને ફેંકતી ચંચળ ક્રન્યાઓના ભરથાર થવાનાં સ્વપનમાં રાચતાં ભતૃહરિ સૌંદર્ય સ્વપનાઓને વાચા આપે છે …અને રચાય છે..શૃંગારસતક....સંસ્કૃતમાં સૌંદર્યને દેદીપ્યામ બનાવે છે.

આ શતકમાં મનુષ્યનાં યુવાનીના પ્રારભિંક સમયનો ઉલ્લેખ છે.સુંવાળા વિષયો ઉપર સો શતકો લખ્યાં છે,આ શતકોમાં યૌવન,વિલાશ,ભોગ અને કામ પર લખેલું વર્ણન અંત્યત મનોહરિય છે.

બ્રહ્માં,વિષ્ણું અને મહેશ જેવાં દેવતાઓ પણ કામદેવનાં પ્રભાવમાં આવી જઇને રમણિઓનાં દાસ બની ગયાં હતાં.પોતાના શ્ર્લોકની શરૂઆત કામદેવને નમસ્કાર કરીને કામદેવનું મહત્વ અને ગૌરવ સ્વીકાર્યું છે.

तत्र प्रत्यूहमाधातुं ब्रह्माडपि खलु कातर|६१|

ભતૃહરિ આ શ્ર્લોકમાં કહે છે કે સ્ત્રીઓ અંત્યત પ્રેમનાં આવેગથી જે કાર્ય આંરંભ કરે છે,તેમાં વિધ્ન નાંખવા બ્રહ્માં પણ સમર્થ નથી

ભતૃહરિ એક શ્ર્લોકમાં ભાગ્યવાન પુરુષનું વર્ણન કરે છે.સંસ્કૃત ભાષાની લય અને છટાએ આ ગ્રંથોને વિશ્વપ્રિય બનાવ્યાં છે

उरसि निपतितानां स्त्रस्तधम्मिल्ल्कानां
मुकुलितनयनानां किंचिंदुन्मीलितानामा|
सुरतजनितखेदस्विन्नगण्डस्थलाना-
मधरमधु वधुना भाग्यवन्तः पिबन्ति|७२|
(જે પુરુષની છાતી પર પડેલી હોય,જેનો ચોટલો છુટી ગયેલો હોય,જેના નેત્રો થોડા મીચેંલા હોય અને થોડા ખુલ્લા હોય અને કામક્રિડાનાં પરિશ્રમનાં લીધે જેના ગાલ પર
પસીનો આવી ગયો હોય,તેવી વધુનાં અધરોષ્ઠને મધને ભાગ્યવાન પુરૂષો પીવે છે.)

ભતૃહરિ શતકોનાં શ્ર્લોકોમાં લખ્યું છે કે-
-સ્ત્રી વિના જગત અંધકારમય છે
-કામ એ પુરુષાર્થનો અંત છે
-કામદેવ પણ સ્ત્રીના હુકમનું પાલન કરે છે
-સ્ત્રીઓને લાભ થાય એ જ તપનું સાચુ ફળ છે
-સ્ત્રીઓને સર્વથા કોઇ પ્રિય જ નથી
-વનમાં જઇને વસવું અથવા સ્ત્રીઓ સાથે રહેવું સુખદાયક છે
-પ્રણયમાં સ્ત્રી પુરુષના મનનું હરણ કરે છે અને ચીત હરી લે છે
-સ્ત્રી પર કામથી થયેલી આસકિતનું કોઇ નિવારણ જ નથી
-સ્ત્રીને આલિગન કરીને જે માણસ સુવે છે ધન્ય છે
-કમલ જેવા નેત્રોવાળી સ્ત્રીઓ વિના જગતમાં અન્ય કોઇ સુંદર નથી

ચંદ્રકાંતબક્ષીએ જ્યારે લેખનની શરૂઆત કરી હતી ત્યારે આપણાં એક કવિવરે કાંઇક વિચિત્ર જાતનો કટાક્ષ કર્યો હતો.કારણકે ચંદ્રકાંત બક્ષીએ પોતાના લખાણોમાં દંભીપણું કદી દાખવ્યું નથી......

" કે સાહિત્યના હમામમાં કોઇ નાગો માણસ કુદી પડયો છે."

ચંદ્રકાંત બક્ષીને એમની નાની વાર્તા 'કુત્તી'માટે અશ્લિલતાનો કેસ થયો હતો.ત્યારે જંયતીલાલ મહેતાએ 'બક્ષી એક જીવની'નામનાં પોતાના પુસ્તકમાં લખ્યું હતું કે," જો બક્ષી ગુજરાતીને બદલે બંગાળી લેખક હોત તો?,બંગાળમાં સમરેશ બાસુની એક નવલકથા કેટલાક ચોખલિયા(પ્યુરિટન)બંગાળીઓએ અશ્લિલતાનો કેસ કરેલો હતો,ત્યારે સમરેશ બાસુંના મિત્રો જ નહિં,તેનાં આજીવન દુશ્મન લેખકો પણ એકી અવાજે પેલા ચોખલિયા (પ્યુરિટન) પર એવા ઉખળી પડેલા અને દૈનિકો,માસિકો,અઠવાડિકો અને જાહેર સભાઓ,સરઘસો કાઢીને એવા ભીડાવેલા કે તે મુરખાઓએ કેસ પાંછો ખેંચવો પડેલો પણ હાય! હાય! ગભરૂ ગુજરાતી લેખકો!અ..રે...રે ગુજરાત!!!"
વાત પણ સાચી છે,એ સમયે ચંદ્ર્કાંત બક્ષીની તરફેણમાં કોઇ ગુજરાતી લેખક કે અખબાર આગળ આવ્યું નહોતું.

યંશવત મહેતા પર પણ ગુજરાતમાં અશ્લિલતાનો કેસ થયો હતો.

એવું નથી કે ગુજરાતી સાહિત્યમાં માત્ર બક્ષીની ભાષા જ અશ્લિલ હતી.ઘણા લેખકોએ ભાષાના માપમાં એક લક્ષ્મણરેખાની અંદર રહીને લખ્યું છે.
અમુક ગુજરાતી અને બિન ગુજરાતી લેખકો(જેની કૃતિઓ ગુજરાતી ભાષામાં છપાણી છે)જેમ કે ગુસ્તાવ ફ્લોબર્ટથી,આલ્બર્તો મોરાવિયોથી લઇને ચેતન ભગત જેવા લેખકોની ગુજરાતી ભાષામાં અનૂવાદ થઇ છે.ગુજરાતી માનસની એક વાત જોવા જેવી છે કે અંગ્રેજી લેખકોની કૃતિનો અક્ષરઃશ અનૂવાદ સ્વીકારી લે છે...ભલેને એ કૃતિઓમાં ભારો ભાર અશ્લિલતા ભરેલી હોય.

-સાડી,ચોળી અને ચણીયો-એ સ્ત્રી પોષાક ચાડીયો છે.જોબનને ઢાંકવાના ઢોંગ કરતાં કરતાં એ તો જાણૅ સીસકારા કરી કહી આપે છે કે,”જુઓ શીકારી…,તમારું હરણૂ આ બેઠુ અમારી ઓથમાં લપાઈ ને…”..(ઝવેરચંદ મેઘાણી)

-જે પળે તેને નિમંત્રતી ત્યારે તે સુંદર વસ્ત્રો પહેરી,સુંદર ઉપાન પહેરી અને સુંદર કમલાને મળવા જતો.અને તેના માટે ભેટૉ લાવતો.તેના શાણા શાણા રાતા અધરો પાસેથી ઘણુ શીખ્યો.તેના લીલા મુલાયમે હાથે ઘણુ શીખવ્યું.રતિવિલાશમાં તે તો હજુ બાળક જેવો હતો.તેના ઉંડાણમાં આંખો મીંચી અને અતૃપ્તીથી ઝંપાલાવવા ઇચ્છતો હતો.કમલાએ તેને શીખવ્યું હતું કે આંનદ આપ્યા વિના આનંદ મળતો નથી.એક એક હાવ ભાવને,એક એક આલિંગનને,એક એક સ્પર્શને,એક એક દ્રષ્ટીને અને દેહના એક એક અવયવને તેનું રહસ્ય હોય છે.તે રહસ્ય એ વ્યકિતને આંનદ આપી શકે જે એને સમજી શકે છે..

-એની તરફ દ્રષ્ટિ કરતાં લેઓનને લાગ્યું કે તે નિર્બધપણૅ તેની તરફ ખેંચાય રહ્યો છે..અને એના મસ્તકપ્રદેશમાં મોજાની માફક પ્રસરી રહ્યો છે!તથા વ્રક્ષસ્થળના ધવલતંત્રમાં ભળી જઇને તેની સાથે તાદાત્મય શાધી રહ્યો છે!એ નિઃસીમ આકર્ષણ અદ્મ્ય હતું!એ તેને નમી પડતો..એના ચરણૉમાં શીર ઝુકાવતો..અને બે કોણી તેના ઢીચણ પર ટેકવી તેની દ્રષ્ટિમાં દ્રષ્ટિ પરોવી સ્થિત ફેલાવ્યા કરતો હતો.મોં ઉચું કરી મલક્યાં કરતો હતો..

-તે દરમ્યાન મારો હાથ એ સ્થળે હતો જ્યાંથી કોઇ પણ વ્યકિત માટૅ તેને ખસેડવો મુશ્કેલ હોય છે.એટલે હું પણ ભાવ,લાગણી,પ્રવાહ,વાસના,ઇચ્છા,પ્રકૃતિ-અથવા લોકો તેને જે કહેતા હોય,જે માનવબુધ્ધિને વરાળ કરી નાંખે છે-તેની સાથે હું વહી ગયો.

ગુણવત શાહની ગણના ગુજરાતી ભાષામાં એક સૌમ્ય લેખકની છે,પણ ગુણવત શાહે પન સ્ત્રી-પુરુષનાં સંબધો પર પોતાનું નિર્ભિક મંતવ્ય આપ્યું છે.

-લગ્નબાહ્ય સંબધો એટલે અપવિત્ર કે અધાર્મિક સંબધ એવી ગાંઠ વાળી લઇએ તો કૃષ્ણથી કૃષ્ણમૂર્તિ સુધીના મહાનુભવો વિશે નવેસરથી વિચારવું પડૅ તેમ છે.થોડા નામો આ પ્રમાણૅ છે,વિશ્વામિત્ર,વ્યાસ,ભર્તુહરિ,સોક્રેટીસ,ટૉલ્સટૉય,રૂસો,સાર્ત્ર,બટ્રાંડ રસેલ,શેલી,કાર્લ માર્કસ,રવિન્દ્ર્નાથ ટાગોર,જવાહરલાલ નહેરુ,આઇન્સટાઇન,કેનેડી,માઓ ઝેડાંગ,ડૉ.રાધાકૃષ્ણન,ખલિલ જિબ્રાન,આર્થર ક્લાર્ક,ઠ ક્કરબાપા ઇત્યાદી.લગ્ન સંબધ આપોઆપ પવિત્ર નથી બનતો.લગ્નબાહ્ય કે લગ્નેતર પ્રેમસંબધ આપોઆપ અપવિત્ર નથી બની જાતો.”આપોઆપ”શબ્દની નીચે લીટી દોરવી પડૅ છે.(ગુણવંત શાહ)

-બે વ્યકિતઓ પરણીને કે પરણ્યા વગર એકબીજામાં ઓતપ્રોત થાય તેવી તેની સાવ જ પ્રાકૃતિક કહીં શકાય તેવી પૂર્વભૂમિકા ફર્લટિંગ દ્વારા રચાતી હોય છે.ફર્લટિંગ જેવી નિરુપદ્રવી અને સુષકર કહી શકાય એવી ઘટના જગતમાં જડવી દુર્લભ છે. શરાબની દુનિયામાં જે સ્થાન બિયરનું છે તે સ્થાન સેકસની દુનિયામાં ફર્લટિંગનું છે..(ગુણવંત શાહ)

એક વાત ઉડીને આંખે વળગે છે કે જરા સરખું ચર્ચાસ્પદ થયેલું પુસ્તક ગુજરાતમાં ઘણીવાર રિપ્રિન્ટ થઇને આવે છે.જેમ કે ચદ્રકાંત બક્ષી અને ગુણવંત શાહ બંને મંત્વ્યો પરનું પુસ્તક "સેકસ મારી દ્રષ્ટિએ" ચાર વખત રિપ્રિન્ટ થયું છે.બિંદું ભટ્ટની"મીરાં યાજ્ઞિકની ડાયરી" ત્રણ વખત રિપ્રિન્ટ થયું છે અને આચાર્ય રજનીશનું "સંભોગ સે સમાધી તક" હજારો પ્રતો વેંચાયેલી હશે.કારણકે આ પુસ્તકની કેટલી પ્રતો કેટલી ખપી છે એનો આંકડૉ મારી પાસે નથી.

છેલ્લે છેલ્લે મારી નવલકથાં "ઓહ!નયનતારા"થોડું લખાણ અહિંયા મુકીને આ લાંબો અને કંટાળાજનક લેખ પૂરો કરવાં માંગું છું
- વાફા અને નયનતારા બંને વચ્ચે કલ્પના કરું ત્યારે મારાંમાં એક તત્વજ્ઞાની યુવાન પેદા થાય છે જેનું એક જ કામ છે…સૌંદર્યની શોધ..!
પછી ઇશ્વરનો વિચાર કરું છું-ઇશ્વરે આ સૃષ્ટિ ઉપર પ્રથમ્ વખત વાફા અને નયનતારા બંનેની શરીરની રચના વખતે વાસ્તુશાસ્ત્રનો સચોટ ઉપયોગ કર્યો છે.જેનું સચોટ ઉદાહરણ એ છે કે,બંનેના શરીરનો એક પણ ભાગ એવો નથી કે જેને જોતા કોઇ પણ જાતની વિકૃત લાગણી પેદા થઇ હોય ! બંનેની ખુલ્લી,આરસ જેવી સપાટ પીઠ,જાણૅ કે મારાં જેવાં યુવાનને લસરવાની લસરપટ્ટી હોય ! પવિતત્રા પણ બંને વચ્ચે સરખી વહેચી છે-એનું પણ સચોટ કારણ છે,બંને જાણે રાત્રિના સમયે ફક્ત મારાં માટે જ સ્નાન કરવાં જતી હ્તી.એ તો ઠીક ! સ્નાન કર્યા પછી પવિત્રત્તા ધારણ કરી અને પછી મારાં સિવાય કોઇ નજરે પડતું જ નહીં ! કદાચ સ્ત્રીઑની પવિત્રતાની નવી વ્યાખ્યા હશે?

લસરપટ્ટીમાં લસરીને નીચે પહોંચૉ ત્યારે આવે બંનેનૉ કટી પ્રદેશ.આ એ જ કટીપ્રદેશ છે એને મારાં બંને હાથ થકી ગાળીયો બનાવી ભીસીં નાખીં હતી.કમરપ્રદેશ પણ સપ્રમાણ અને સુરેખ વળાંક વાળૉ જાણે કે ચંદ્રકાંત બક્ષીનો સ્ટેમ ગ્લાશ! બિલકૂલ એવું જ કંઇક !
લાંબા અને સપ્રમાણ પગ સુરેખ અને સપ્રમાણ એવાં કે જાણૅ તરાપા બનાવી અને સૌંદર્ય સાગર તરવાંની ઇચ્છા થઇ જાય !રર્હી હોઠોની વાત ! એનું તે શું કહેવું?જે મને એકલાને જ ખબર છે.

કારણકે આ બાબત રસોઇશાસ્ત્રને સલંગ્ન છે.સચોટ કારણ છે કે રસોઇ ચાંખ્યા પછી જ ખબર પડે કે રસોઇનો સ્વાદ કેવો છે?

બંનેના અધરો છોડીને થોડા નીચે આવીએ ત્યારે કુદરત કે ઇશ્વરની શ્રેષ્ઠ કલારચનાનો સાક્ષાત પરિચય નજરને થાય.સ્ત્રી શરીરની આ એક એવી રચના છે જેને પ્રાણી કે મનુષ્ય જગતમાં સર્વોત્તમ શ્રેષ્ઠતા બક્ષી છે.જેના થકી મનુષ્ય અને પ્રાણી જગતના જીવોનો વિકાશ બન્યો છે.
વધારે વિચારએ અને લખવા બેસીએ તો પાનાને પાના ભરાય એટલું ટાંચણ નીકળે,માટે આટલું જ બસ છે.દેવી તત્વો તો અમાપ છે જેના વિશે હજારો ગ્રંથો લખાયાં છે અને હજુ લખાશે…!
